Applications
IN THE MASS
EUROPAL HA LIQUID should be added where the stock is vigorously agitated. For discontinuous addition,e.g.in the pulper or mixing chest, prior dilution of Europal HA Liq. is necessary. It is advisable to prepare a highly dilute Europal HA Liq. solution and to add it slowly to prevent motting.Generally 0.25% to 0.4% Europal HA Liq. to the weight of dry pulp is sufficient for the medium degree of whiteness. However in special cases Europal HA Liq. upto 0.8% 0f the weight of dry pulp can be used to get very high degree of whitness. To obtain the highest yield with Europal HA Liq. we recommend that the additions should be made in the following order:
- PULP
- FILLERS
- EUROPAL HA LIQUID
- ROSIN SIZE
- SHADING DYESTUFF
- ALUM.
Note:
- Use of cationic auxiliaries is not desirable as these may get precipitated with the anionic fluorscent brightener.
- Use of chelating agents such as E.D.T.A (0.2gm/ltr) is suggested to prevent interference due to heavy metal ion such as Copper,Iron and Zinc.
